PDM MedExpo & BioLink 2008: the Wellness LifeStyle Expo took place on May 4, 2008 at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel. This eighth annual medical convention and expositions served as a networking event for healthcare professionals, providing them with the most current information on wellness in the practice of medicine via symposia and the exhibitor showcase.
In addition to highlighting new products, technology, and disease management programs, the event is also a platform to share the achievements of healthcare professionals via the Recognition of Excellence Awards. These awards are presented every year to commendable healthcare professionals based upon their achievements, dedication to patient care, and community service.

The awards were formally presented during the MedExpo Inaugural Session by Ash Chawla, MS, RPh. The Inaugural Session also included speeches by Master of Ceremonies Monica Robins, Senior Health Correspondent for WKYC and Congressional Candidate Jim Trakas. In keeping with MedExpo's mission of giving back to the community, a portion of the proceeds from the event were donated to charity. This year, $10,000 was donated to the Ohio State University for Geriatrics Care & Alzheimer's Disease Research. The donation was also made during the Inaugural Session. |
